Family days out in the Algarve
For family days out, the Algarve has something to suit everyone. During the season two great family days out are Slide and Splash and Zoomarine. Both are around 30 minutes from the Tempomar Apartments, and offer a full day of fun.
If needed there is a dedicated coach for each park leaving daily during the season from Burgau. For timetables and tickets, please enquire at Tempomar Reception.
Slide and Splash
For the young at heart there is the thrilling Slide and Splash Water Park.
The slides are surrounded by lawns for you to sit and take a break in between the rides. Pack a picnic or eat at the cafeteria, you will be sure to have worked up an appetite after ducking and diving through the maze of slides and pools. For the very young there is an action packed shallow pool with various slides and climbing frames. For the daring, try the ‘Black Hole’ and ‘Kamakazee’.
Zoomarine
Another firm favourite and a fantastic day out for the family is Zoomarine. A popular aquatic theme park, it promises to make a memorable day out of your holiday.
Follow the packed programme of shows with the seals, parrots, sea lions, dolphins and birds of prey. There are also family amusement rides and swimming pools, restaurants and many refreshment kiosks. For a truly unforgettable experience try the ‘Interaction with dolphins’ before heading home.
Boat trips
For a more relaxing time, why not explore the grottos and coastline aboard a sail boat. While away a few hours taking in the beautiful scenery from Lagos headland to Sagres and enjoy a fish barbecue lunch along the way, or catch a fish yourself aboard one of the deep sea fishing charters.
Dolphin Safari Rides are also available and all leave daily from Lagos Marina.
